Peter Oppici
Peter Oppici is a sales engineer with 20+ years experience building and maintaining a client base through aggressive marketing and in-depth technical interaction with clients in New England. He is thoroughly conversant in many aspects of factory automation including electrical, pneumatic and robotic applications.
Peter received his BS in Management Information Systems and a minor in Mathematics from the University of Lowell, in Lowell, Massachusetts. As part of his continuing education, he has attended numerous technical and business courses, seminars, and workshops during the past twenty years.
Peter started his career at Steven Engineering in CA as an inside sales representative for this electrical distributor serving the semi-conductor and aerospace industries. Following up on this experience, he became a product manager/senior market analyst for Siemens Energy and Automation for their PLC division.
In 1988, Peter became a sales representative for Electrical Controls, Inc. serving Southern New Hampshire and Northeastern Massachusetts, where he doubled sales in two years. In 1990, he joined Action Automation and Controls, a fluid power and factory automation products distributor, where he increased sales from $350,000 to $3 million over six years. He was awarded Salesman of the Year in 1993 and promoted to the team leader in 1996 with responsibilities for hiring, training and overseeing territory sales and service personnel. In 1996, he joined the Hope Group, a distributor of fluid power and factory automation systems, where he consistently placed in the top 10% and increased profits substantially.
Peter joined Applied Motion Solutions in March 1999 and has increased sales by over 100%. He is now Vice President and is responsible for developing new OEM customers in Massachusetts, Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire. He also, shares managing key principal relationships and became CPMR cerified in 2008.
